Morning Routine That Changed My Life

We all have goals that we want to achieve, whether it be to get fit, learn a new skill, or start our businesses. However, it can often feel overwhelming to know where to start and how to make progress towards these goals. One of the most significant changes that I made in my life was implementing a morning routine that helped me make progress towards my goals every day. In this blog post, I'll be sharing with you the morning routine that changed my life.

Wake Up Early

The first change that I made was waking up early. I used to be someone that would get up , get ready for work and go. However, I realized that this was not allowing me to be at my most productive. By waking up early (around 4:40 am), it gave me more time in my day to accomplish my goals. It was hard at first, but now I enjoy it.

Read The Bible And Prayer

I make a cup of coffee and listen to The Bible Recap podcast and read the bible. Normally about 3 chapters. Then I journal my prayer time. I found that taking 20-25 minutes in the morning to work on my relationship with God and praying for my family and friends helped me start my day in a positive and calm state of mind.

Exercise

One of my goals was to get fit, so I made it a point to exercise a couple times a week. It can be something as simple as a 20-minute walk or a weight workout. Whatever it is, getting your body moving in the morning is a great way to start your day and make progress towards your fitness goals.

Plan Your Day

Another essential part of my morning routine is planning my day. I take a few minutes to review my daily planner, to-do list, and set my priorities for the day. I also write my goals down every day to help me stay focused and productive throughout the day.

Affirmations And A Faith Filled Message

Lastly, I find it incredibly helpful to spend some speaking affirmations out loud every morning. It helps to disrupt negative thinking habits and form new neural pathways in the brain to create physical connections to these repeated thoughts. I also list 10 things I am grateful for and listen to a sermon when I am getting ready for work. It gives me encouragement and peace.

Questions For Reflection:

What can I do today to get closer to where I want to be? What am I enjoying in my life right now? What am I committed to in my life right now?

Conclusion:

Implementing this morning routine has been life-changing for me. It has allowed me to make progress towards my goals every day while also improving my mental and physical health. If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed with how to achieve your goals, give a morning routine like this a try. Remember that it doesn't have to be perfect, and it's essential to make it work for you. Start with small changes and build from there. So follow along with me on A Fantastic Journey. You got this!
